Doesn't that seem strange?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8028797990091655063.post-53587246227464105032012-04-05T06:51:19.449-07:002012-04-05T06:51:19.449-07:00Sad to see this house burn. So, restoration still might be possible. Furthermore, while the interior might have been gutted, the facade is made of granite, which is pretty durable.

However, the bad news is that the current owner has been trying to sell the property for quite some time, yet to no success. So, he may choose to demolish what remains of the mansion and subsequently subdivide the property.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8028797990091655063.post-49806603609007454552012-04-04T21:11:19.559-07:002012-04-04T21:11:19.559-07:00Very heartbreaking. On Bing the once spectacular grounds look to have been butchered by an insensitive and careless subdivision that lacks any skillful planning or sensitivity to the original gardens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8028797990091655063.post-26454503259648638962012-04-04T20:43:54.022-07:002012-04-04T20:43:54.022-07:00Appeared to be a well preserved house until the fi...Appeared to be a well preserved house until the fire. Looks like significant damage but it appears to be toward the service wing portion of the house. However, with smoke, fire and water damage throughout it will be hard to restore the interiors because the craftsman are simply no longer available to recreate some of the interior spaces. Very unfortunate. It might be declared a total loss if the cost to rebuild is determined to be too high.NYarchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8028797990091655063.post-23657275504779710582012-04-04T20:27:21.742-07:002012-04-04T20:27:21.742-07:00This is an absolute travesty!
