Dynamics of Community Change, The case of Long Island's declining Gold Coast

Dynamics of Community Change, The case of Long Island's declining Gold Coast. This book which is from 1968, shows that the problem of losing the great houses of the Gilded Age is not a new one. The book has photos also of existing houses and also ruin views of the demolished King Zog estate. This book really gets into why these estates and mansions were destroyed. A very good read for anyone wanting to know more about the basic facts as to why it is so difficult to preserve them. A bit pricey on Amazon to buy, but maybe your local library has it, but a must read/have book. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006BTQ3K?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393177&creativeASIN=B0006BTQ3K&linkCode=shr&tag=mansion00-20&linkId=24GW3LF3RDEAVMIU
