I've often wondered just how much of the statuary, etc. on the grounds was actually stolen over the years since Jennings's death. By the late Fifties, things seemed to be disappearing every year.

I was there in the 1980,s and the place was in good shape, but after the Home for the Blind left, it became ruined.
