Old Grey Dog said...: "The Last Resorts" may not be the definitive work on the great resorts . . . try Richmond Barrett's "Good Old Summer Days", published in 1952 by the Houghton Mifflin Company. Barrett's father was manager of the Newport Casino, and the author, himself, had, for thirty-eight years, the same seats in the Casino grandstand during the tennis week matches.; November 8, 2011 at 8:09 AM
